The City is accepting applications for a vacancy on the Planning Commission.

The PlanningCommission has the duty to develop and carry out a continuing planning program for the physical, social, and economic growth as well as the development and redevelopment of the City of York, they deal with the continued monitoring and updating of the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Ordinance, take action on rezoning and amendment requests, preliminary and final subdivision requests and home occupations. The Board of Zoning Appeals hears and decides appeals where it is alleged that there is error in an order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative official in the enforcement of the zoning ordinance; as well as appeals for a variance from the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance when strict application of the provisions of the ordinance would result in unnecessary hardship If you would like to apply click here.
